![]() ____________Aspire One D250 Sancu 12 Here’s a first look at a grown-up Aspire One D250. Earlier today a manufacturer phoned up our sister site Shanzhaiben.com and said he wanted to announce his new notebook on the site. When it arrived, its similarity to the Aspire One D250 was evident, with one glaring exception: this one boasted the larger screen size and keyboard that make such a difference to the end-user experience. The build quality is very nice, and the device – dubbed Suncu 12 – has the manufacturer’s logo, Laser, on it in place of the Aspire One brand.
![]() Unlike the Aspire One with its 10.1 inch LED-backlit screen and 1024x600-pixel resolution, the Suncu sports a 12.1 inch screen and has a 1280x800 native resolution. The increased screen size also allows for the addition of a full-sized keyboard that really does make a big difference to its usability. Other specs include: CPU: Intel Atom N270 RAM: 1GB HD: 160GB Others: Wi-Fi, camera Battery: 6-cell 10.8V 4400mAH lithium battery (a pleasant surprise) Western Opportunity Analysis: The one big drawback with netbook devices has been the screen and keyboard limitations. If the shanzhai manufacturers can churn out quality products in larger sizes and still hit similar price points, this could be a real turning point for the segment. ![]() Conclusions:
Great looking device with huge potential. Stay tuned for a full review soon.
