Although Apple has a commanding lead in tablets, the newbie Amazon Kindle Fire has also tasted success recently. At CES 2012, there’s horde of tablets trying to replicate the Kindle Fire model instead of herding around the iPad. Viewsonic has also welcomed three new tablets to its collection, including the 7-inch ViewPad E70 tablet based on Android 4.0, but priced at only $169.99, posing a direct threat to the Kindle Fire.
The ViewPad E70 turned out to be a surprise package from Viewsonic featuring a 7-inch display and latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It also has 1GHz processor and 4GB of storage besides the front-facing camera, 1080p HDMI output, Wi-Fi connectivity and a microSD slot. Besides whipping Kindle Fire in features, Viewsonic has also priced E70 aggressively at $170 to emerge as a better economical option.

Viewsonic has also unveiled ViewPad 10e, a 10-inch tablet with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, 1GHz processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. There’s also a 10-inch Windows tablet in the pipeline from Viewsonic, dual boot ViewPad 10pi is capable of booting both Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Windows 7 Professional. It is powered by Intel OakTrail z670 processor and is a premium tablet costing $849.

The tablets are due to launch later this month and the budget pricing will definitely garner a lot of praise to Viewsonic's little wonders.
